Controversial Chinese director Lou Ye’s Summer Palace, which screened at Cannes in 2006, is back.
Here’s the rundown, according to Screendaily.com:
“The fourth Cannes Atelier of the Cinefondation will welcome 15 projects from 14 countries. The selections include the new films from Milky Way director Benedek Fliegauf and Summer Palace director Lou Ye. Now in its fifth edition, L’Atelier seeks to help directors with financing and project completion. The directors and producers will be in Cannes for meetings May 16-23. Project descriptions will be available from April 1 on www.cinefondation.com”
